Patientindividual 3D models for preoperative planning
Based on CT- or MRI-images patient individual 3D models can be created for preoperative planning of complex
surgical interventions.
With the help of the model, the position relation between target area and structures
at risk (vessels, nerves etc.) can be analyzed. Surgeons receive with this kind of OR planning additional
information and can better estimate risks.
The optimal instrument access can be planned to perform the OR as minimalinvasive as possible. The OR can be
simulated with the surgical instrument direct at the model.
